What is
DataDevSecOps

"Data" will soon be added to the word DevSecOps. DevOps was the earliest coined term which came out in 2007 to 2008 (wikipedia). DevSecOps is the 2nd term which evolved to ensure Security was another pillar of focus (shift-left). In May 2023, Doug Lubey created a presentation for SQLSATURDAY in Baton Rouge Louisiana where he used the term "DATADEVSECOPS". He believes this is the 4th pillar and also the most important support pillar which needs to be shifted Left. "Data" is the lowest common denominator in every product.

  1. Data allows better decision making.
  2. Data allows allows comparison
  3. Data measures improvement
